Members share their thoughts:
A big thank you to the dozens of DGC members who completed the Bulletin Readership
Survey included with the last newsletter. We received quality information, good ideas and
learned about you. Here's some of the information you shared with us:
Of 67 responses,
- 59 are home gardeners, 5 are professional gardeners and 27 read about gardening (
multiple answers were welcome),
- 60 are flower gardeners,with 26 growing perennials (which included Heirlooms,
Natives, Native Prairie, Woodland and Grasses); 3 listed bulbs; 9 listed annuals;
6 listed shade; 5 roses. Also listed were wildflower, hostas, water gardening and a
novice gardener,
- 19 are vegetable growers,
- 31 grow herbs,
- 4 bonsai,
- 25 Tree or woody ornamental.
- We also have members who grow Faerie or miniature gardens; weeds; and squirrel
surprises.
- There's also a beekeeper in our membership.
